| Who's
On Report
This report is the first window that you will see when you log into your
Clickmachine Pro stats package. This report tells you how many people
are currently viewing your website, their IP number, the page they are
currently viewing and the total time spent on the page.
This report can be useful to see how popular your site is at particular
times of the day.
Overview
Report
The second page you will come across will be a summary of your visitor
data. The overview page gives you a breakdown of where your visitors come
from (whether they were referred from other websites, search engines,
webmail or direct hits). This summary is represented in a nice and colourful
pie chart.
This chart is useful as a merketing tool, which allows you to, for example,
monitor the percentage of search engine hits you get so that you know
how well your search engine optimisation schemes are working.
Also on this page is a breakdown of unique visitors and page views over
a 12 month period.
Page
Views and Unique Visitors
There are two reports for basic visitor tracking. Unique visitors is the
number of individual visitors who have hit your website. The page views
is the total number of times each page has been viewed during a unique
visit.
These reports tells you the total number of visits you have had to your
website and the number of times each page on your website has been viewed.
A summary at the top tells you the average number of page views per visit,
the total number of page views for the viewing month, a total count for
the current calendar year, over a 12 month period and since the tracking
began.
Both of these reports allow you to view historic months over a 12 month
period.
Referrers
This is a very iseful report to see how your visitors are finding your
website. Reciprocal linking is a good way to get a better ranking in the
search engines, so the more sites your website is listed on, the better.
This page will list all the websites that have referred visitors to yours.
You can view this data graphically in either a pie chart or a line graph.
Search
Engines
This section lists all the keywords visitors have typed in to search engines
to find your website. These keywords are grouped by search engine.
The search engines that are tracked in our package are Google, Yahoo,
MSN, Hotbot, Altavista, Alltheweb, Lycos, Ask, Overture and AOL.
Geographical
and Technical Tracking
You can see which continents and their respective countries your visitors
are from, and what percentage of your visitors are from a certain area.
This can be useful information if you wish to market your website to a
particular region of the world.
Also included is a report that shows you what browsers your visitors
are using. This can be potemtially useful if you are more technically
minded and wnat to know what is, on average, the most commonly used browser.
Different browsers my interpret your website in different ways (for example
Netscape may display stylesheets slightly differently from Internet Explorer).
By knowing what browsers are being used to visit your site, this gives
you a chance to test your website yourself using different browsers to
see how compatible it is across different browser types. |
